I Got Poked by an Old Lady Today!!!

As I was walking out of the library I passed an old lady on the side walk and she poked me.

In the back.

With her bony little old lady finger.

What the hell!?

I’m not really sure what I did to warrant an old lady poke…

but I got one.

After that I went to McDonald to try and forget what had just happened. I ordered a chocolate milkshake only to  be told that all they have is banana, strawberry, and starburst.

Really?

What a terrible day.

It’s been rainy and cold the past couple of days. It was so windy last night and the tarps they have covering the construction next door were so lound it sounded like the whole thing was about to take flight.

Needless to say I stayed in today. I only have a couple more free days before I have to start work.

I tried to read some more of Les Miserables but I’m at the “storming of the barricades” part and it was getting to intense, so I had to put it in the freezer.

So things have finally gone back to normal, which is nice.

I got really excited on the bus this morning on the way to the National Gallery. I saw a poster for a performance of Jesus Christ Superstar they’re doing at the O2.

For those of you who don’t know, Jesus Christ Superstar is probably my favourite musical ever. I almost had a bit of a heart attack when I found out they were doing a revival on Broadway.

That means that on Broadway at one time there would be Jesus Christ Superstar, Sister Act, AND The Book of Mormon.

Needless to say, I was really excited when I saw the poster this morning…

Until I read the whole thing…

“Staring Melanie C. as Mary Magdalene“…

Maybe not.

I’m staying in today. I figured there was no point in waiting outside for hours just so I could see the back of someone’s head.

This way I get to watch the procession, see the Queen, and get some studying done on the Royal Mews. All while not showering or changing out of my PJs… Can’t do that in Trafalgar Square.

In case you’re watching it right now, I have spent a considerable amount of time in the neighbourhood that she’s travelling through. Obviously, you all know how much time I’ve been spending at the National Gallery – so there it is! 🙂

I know it must be tiring to wave all day, but I kind of wish that at least one member of the Royal Family would use the famous “Rann Fam Double Wave”.  How awesome would that be?

That was Interesting…

Some English comedian just made a joke about how there was a boy band backstage walking around with their shirts off, he said:

“There are more six-packs backstage than Prince Harry‘s got stuffed under his seat.”

They did NOT cut to the Royal box to see if anyone was laughing.

They’ve showed Prince Harry at last a dozen times since the concert started a half hour ago, but not that time.

Guess the BBC was being extra careful. My guess is that he probably was laughing.

So far the show has been ok.

Robbie Williams started things off with “Let me Entertain You”. Then Will.I.Am, Jessie J, the above mentioned boy band called JLS, and then Garry Barlow and Cheryl Cole singing that Lady Antebellum song. The “it’s a quarter after one and I’m a little drunk and I need you now” one. Now there’s some guy who I’ve never seen before.

Now if you’ll all excuse me, I have to go represent the Commonweath and make myself some poutine while I watch the rest of the show.

Love ya bye,

Sarah

I’m watching the BBC coverage of the Jubilee Weekend. Right now is the pre-game show for the concert they’re having tonight at Buckingham Palace.

This afternoon Buckingham Palace hosted a picnic for 10,000 ballot winners in the garden.

I laughed really hard when one of the lady guests they interviewed came up with this:

“…and I’ve got a ring just like Kate Middleton‘s. Mine’s new though.”
